On the older Armored Core games, you had to use a lock on window. The latter part is important as it resulted in some other necessary changes. You also could not fire back weapons while moving, unless of course you had something called Human Plus.Īrmored Core 4 turned all that on its head by allowing for a lot more aerial freedom and the free usage of weapons. You could fly but it was limited by your generator capacity and weight, as well as the strength of your boosters. This is because the earlier Armored Core titles were primarily a ground based, though fast, mecha games.
